Master Wallace Fard Muhammad founded The Nation of Islam on July 4, 1930, as a Nation of Beauty and Peace. He taught the Black Man and Woman of America the ways of love, peace, truth and beauty. In 1931 He met a man by the name of Elijah Poole and chose him as his divine representative. He taught and trained Elijah for 3-1/2 years. He nurtured him and gave him the most difficult task of bringing truth and light to His lost found people. Thus the Nation of Islam marks July 4th as it’s day of independence.
